Organised by the Hong Kong-ASEAN Foundation, the ASEAN Film Festival is a non-profit initiative to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of culture through the art of storytelling through films. The Festival strives to be a premier event to showcase a curated selection of films of varied genres by the region’s most eminent filmmakers. 
This year in August, Tai Kwun will host two movie screenings at JC Cube.

The movie masterfully intertwines real-life emotion with meta-cinematic storytelling, using black-and-white and color visuals to blur the lines between reality and fiction. The film took home 7 awards at the 2024 Indonesian Film Festival, including Best Picture, Best Screenplay and a grand slam on actors’ awards.
